How you control what data DJI can access

DJI will not have access to any user data unless the user gives DJI permission to do so.

Users can grant or revoke permissions at any time in the Network Security Mode settings. Such permissions include access to device information, flight records, device logs, approximate location information, user experience enhancement program information, and whether DJI may share your device location with third-party mapping service providers to map your location on the map

You can enable "Local Data Mode" to use your device completely offline. In this case, you do not need to log in to your DJI account. Installer packages to update your device can be downloaded directly from the DJI website.

Data is encrypted for increased security

The data transmitted between the drone and the controller on the ground is protected by the AES-256 encryption algorithm. Communication between the DJI Pilot app and the server is also secured by HTTPS or WebSockets over SSL/TLS (WSS) to prevent hijacking.

Safe storage of media files on the device

DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise drones support a password protection mechanism for on-board data storage to ensure the safety of confidential images and resources. Matrice M300 RTK and Zenmuse H20 combo also support SD card memory encryption. When the password function is enabled, data stored on the SD card or built-in memory can only be accessed after entering a user-defined password. A user-defined password is not provided by DJI, which means that DJI will not be able to recover this password if you forget it.
