The M4 Max model features a 14-core CPU (10 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores) and a 32-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, along with a 16-core Neural Engine and a memory bandwidth of 410 GB/s. The M3 Ultra variant provides a 28-core CPU (20 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores), a 60-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, a 32-core Neural Engine, and a memory bandwidth of 819 GB/s. Both configurations come with a media engine that supports hardware acceleration for H.264, HEVC, ProRes, and ProRes RAW codecs, as well as AV1 decoding support. The unified memory starts at 36 GB for the M4 Max and 96 GB for the M3 Ultra, with the option to expand up to 128 GB and 512 GB respectively. SSD storage options range from 512 GB to 16 TB, providing high-speed data storage. The Apple Mac Studio 2025 supports simultaneous connections to up to five displays in the M4 Max configuration and up to eight displays in the M3 Ultra configuration, with resolutions up to 8K and refresh rates up to 240 Hz. Connectivity includes four Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports with a bandwidth of up to 120 GB/s, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack supporting high-impedance headphones. The front panel features two USB-C ports (up to 10 GB/s) and an SDXC card slot (UHS-II) in the M4 Max model, and two Thunderbolt 5 ports (up to 120 GB/s) and an SDXC card slot (UHS-II) in the M3 Ultra model. Wireless communications include Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.3. The dimensions of the Apple Mac Studio 2025 are 9.5 cm in height and 19.7 cm in width and depth, weighing 2.74 kg for the M4 Max model and 3.64 kg for the M3 Ultra model.
