Medium Telephoto Lens with Macro Capability
Medium telephoto lens with 1:2 macro capability and a 95 mm equivalent focal length.
High Image Quality
The lens consists of 14 elements in 9 groups (including 3 ED glass elements) and provides high resolution with minimal aberrations thanks to a floating focus system. The positioning of the three ED glass elements is optimized to minimize chromatic aberration, delivering extremely high image quality with pleasing foreground and background bokeh.
Fast, Silent Autofocus
The floating focus system with two stepping motors moves the autofocus lens group, ensuring fast and silent AF operation.
Image Stabilization
5-stop image stabilization provides confidence when shooting handheld.
Weather- and Dust-Resistant, Operates to -10° C, with Fluorine Coating
The lens is sealed at nine points, allowing outdoor shooting in rain, cold, and dusty conditions. Durability is further enhanced by the front lens’s fluorine water- and dust-repellent coating.
Lens Operation
The aperture ring includes a C position (control dial mode), allowing aperture adjustment via the camera’s control dial. The A (AUTO) and C positions can be locked to prevent accidental operation. The focus range switch allows setting the optimal focus range for macro and other shooting, speeding up autofocus.
