The ASRock X870E Taichi motherboard is designed in an E-ATX form factor and is compatible with processors using the Socket AM5 interface, based on the AMD X870E chipset. It supports up to 256 GB of DDR5 RAM with speeds of up to 8200+ MHz through four DIMM slots. For graphics card connectivity, it features two PCI Express 5.0 x16 slots, which can operate in x16 or x8/x8 mode. The ASRock X870E Taichi is equipped with four M.2 connectors, one of which supports PCI-E 5.0 x4, while the other three support PCI-E 4.0 x4. Additionally, there are six SATA Revision 3.0 ports available, supporting RAID levels 0, 1, and 10. The audio system is based on the Realtek ALC4082 codec, providing 7.1-channel sound and an optical S/PDIF output. Networking capabilities include a Realtek RTL8126 Ethernet controller with a bandwidth of 5 Gbps, a Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) module, and Bluetooth 5.4 support. For peripheral connectivity, there are two USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C ports, five USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and two USB 2.0 ports. The rear panel includes an HDMI output for display connection. Cooling solutions for the ASRock X870E Taichi include heatsinks for the chipset, VRM, and M.2 connectors, with support for up to eight fans. Power is supplied through a 24-pin motherboard connector and two 8-pin CPU connectors.
