The MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI is an ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset, designed for processors with a Socket AM5 interface. It supports the installation of up to four DDR5 memory modules with a clock speed of 8000+ MHz and a total capacity of up to 192 GB. For graphics cards and other expansion devices, it features one PCI Express 5.0 x16 slot (x16) and one PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot (x4), allowing the use of modern graphics accelerators and additional controllers. The motherboard includes three M.2 slots, one of which supports the PCI-E 5.0 x4 interface, while the other two operate via PCI-E 4.0 x4. Additionally, there are four SATA 3.0 ports for connecting traditional storage drives. Cooling is enhanced with heatsinks on the chipset and VRM power elements, ensuring stable system performance even under heavy loads. Networking capabilities include a Realtek gigabit Ethernet controller with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gbps, as well as a built-in Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) module with Bluetooth 5.4 support. The audio subsystem features a Realtek ALC1200 codec with 7.1 surround sound support. On the rear panel, there is one HDMI output for integrated graphics, four USB 2.0 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port. The motherboard also supports RAID arrays 0/1/10, is equipped with a reinforced PCI-E slot, and has cooling for M.2 SSDs.
