The Garmin Instinct 3 is a rugged GPS smartwatch introduced in January 2025 at CES. It is designed for active users who need reliable and functional devices for various activities. The Instinct 3 is available in two versions: one with a vibrant 1.2-inch AMOLED display and another with a monochrome MIP display featuring solar charging. The AMOLED version offers clear and vivid imagery, while the MIP model provides virtually unlimited battery life thanks to solar energy. The Garmin Instinct 3's case is made from fiber-reinforced polymer with a metal bezel and a scratch-resistant screen, meeting military standards MIL-STD 810 for heat, shock, and water resistance up to 100 meters. A built-in flashlight with adjustable brightness, red light, and strobe mode enhances visibility and safety in low-light conditions. The functionality of the Instinct 3 includes health and fitness monitoring, such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep, and stress tracking. The watch supports over 30 sports modes and has built-in GPS for accurate outdoor activity tracking. Depending on the model, the battery life of the Garmin Instinct 3 varies: the AMOLED version provides up to 24 days of smartwatch mode, while the MIP model with solar charging can last virtually indefinitely with sufficient light.
