This lens features a weather-sealed body weighing 420 grams with dimensions of 99x73 mm, equipped with a high-speed RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) autofocus system. It has an optical construction of 13 elements in 11 groups and a 67mm filter thread. The lens boasts a 9-blade diaphragm with a maximum aperture of f/2.8, a focal length range of 17-28 mm, and a minimum focusing distance of 19 cm, along with Tamron's proprietary BBAR anti-reflective coating.
